Dual Credit Courses

Eligible juniors and seniors are offered an opportunity for dual enrollment at UIW Prep and the University of the Incarnate Word by way of UIW Online. UIW Prep students may take up to ten (10) dual credit classes which give graduating seniors up to 30 semester hours to apply to a university program while completing all high school graduation requirements. UIW Prep students can complete nearly their first year in college while in high school. Part-time students may take up to (2) dual credit classes each academic year for up to 12 semester hours. All dual credit courses are taught by UIW faculty online and will count as high school and college credit simultaneously. The college credit will be issued by the University of the Incarnate Word, a 4-year, regionally accredited institution. There are offerings in Math, English, Social Studies and Religious Studies.
