Students need to have a computer, email address and a reliable Internet connection. A student can be successful in this program if there is access to Microsoft Office, Professional version recommended, and the ability to view the learning curriculum modules. Current video players that can be downloaded for free may be necessary for some curriculum modules.
Language courses require that students have a microphone. All courses require students to hear audio either through headphones or speakers.
Most math and science courses will require a scientific/graphing calculator such as a TI-83 or TI-84. Some science courses may require the purchase of a lab kit. Lab manuals will be provided for core and honors science courses.
Some science courses may require you to purchase a lab kit for additional resources. This will be noted on the course description.

If you are still having problems, you can submit a support issue via our email form. Prior to submitting your support issue on IZIO, the learning management system, please gather as much information as possible about the error you are receiving in the message field:
Fill out the email form completely with as much detail as possible in order to fix the issue quickly.
Issue:
I click the IZIO button, but the page will not load and times out. What should I do?
Fix:
Please make sure that you have adjusted your cookie settings to accept the IZIO cookie. Directions for your browser type can be found by clicking here.
Issue:
I click the IZIO button but instead of IZIO loading, I see a red error message that states “Login Not Available“. What should I do?
Fix:
Your IZIO account needs to be created by the UIW Prep staff. Please allow 24-48 hours for your account to be created. Once your account is created, the error message will not be displayed.

All new students need to complete the online orientation class for IZIO, the online learning management system and for our digital curriculum which is powered by Apex.
IZIO is the program you will use to log into the curriculum, submit your work, have class discussions and see your final grades.
Our digital curriculum is powered by Apex and has many of your assignments and much of your course content. It will be available as a link from your IZIO login. Access to both systems will be available when courses are finalized. Contact the Guidance and Admissions Coordinator for more details.
