Accreditations

UIW Preparatory is accredited through AdvancEd – Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

UIW Prep is operated by the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) in San Antonio, Texas. Incarnate Word High School and St. Anthony’s Catholic High School, both in San Antonio, are also operated by the University of the Incarnate Word and both are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, Texas Association of Non-Public Schools, Texas Catholic Conference Education Department/Texas Education Association, Independent Schools of San Antonio, National Catholic Education Association and the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools. 

UIW was recently re-affirmed for a ten-year period by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of College and Schools.

The University is also accredited by the Texas Education Agency, the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, the American Dietetic Association, and National League for Nursing.

The University is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) and the American Association for Music Therapy.

In addition to other University accreditation, the Virtual University is also a Charter Institution and is accredited by the Association of Accredited Online Programs International (AAOPi).
